WHAT QB ADVANTAGE HAS TO OFFER

Quarterbacks play one of the most important positions in all of sports. However they are also one of the most under coached positions in all of sports.  Most high schools do not offer quarterback training during the off season, which leaves most qb's putting a rest to their training for several months.  In order to achieve the most out of your talent, it takes more than just football season to perfect your skills.  That’s why I have created the QB Advantage training clinics in order to provide off season training for quarterbacks of all ages.  Many nationally advertised quarterback clinics are highly priced and are only offered to certain players.  At QB Advantage, any quarterback is welcome, from grade school to middle school, high school, and college level qb's.
I believe in teaching specific techniques that I have been shown over the course of my football career both playing and coaching. Every quarterback is different and therefore coaching every quarterback is a little different.  The skill level of the qb will determine how in depth and advanced the lessons are. Each session will involve instruction on basic drops, throws, passing mechanics, improving footwork and speed, improving throwing/release speed, and working on leadership as well as many other aspects of playing the position.
My goals for this training program are simple; to improve each quarterbacks level of play, confidence, and understanding of the position.  I am committed to staying on top of the latest and most up-to-date quarterback training techniques and drills available. Whether you are a drop back, dual-threat, spread or pro-style quarterback I believe in providing a challenging and competitive environment for to learn in and will do my best to provide each quarterback with useful feedback and drills that they will be able to apply to their individual football program.

Coach Grizzle

My name is Scott Grizzle, I am a 25 year old teacher/football coach from Kentucky. I played collegiately at Kentucky Christian University and Georgetown College.  Currently I am the QB coach at Raceland-Worthington H.S. in Raceland, KY. My knowledge of the quarterback position comes from my playing career and the time I have spent learning from some outstanding high school and college football coaches. I have a tremendous passion for playing and coaching the position of quarterback and through this blog I hope to provide in depth information to all players and coaches who share the same passion as I do. Throughout my football career I have learned from many great coaches but my main influence has been Cal offensive coordinator Tony Franklin. I have now been a player or a coach under the Tony Franklin System for a total of nine years. Most of my philosophy about playing QB comes directly from coach Franklin. As a high school qb, I was fortunate to attend the Tony Franklin Quarterback School for a period of ten sessions. The individual attention I received during that ten week period was the catalyst for a successful playing career and the opportunity I had to play football at the college level. Through QB Advantage I hope to provide the same opportunity for success and improvement that I was exposed to as a player, along with posting up to date information about the QB position, offensive strategy, playing fast, and all aspects of the spread offense.
